It is one of Dubai’s most famous landmarks, its sailboat shaped silhouette. The hotel first opened in 1999. It is the world’s 5th largest hotel, 1053 foot tall. It is a five star property but sometimes the hotel calls its self 7-star eventhough that rating technically does not exist. The hotel has 201 suites.The rooms are amazing with a blend of modern and 19th century palace elements. There are 9 world class bars and restaurants. The hotel also offers 5 swimming pools ( three outdoor, two indoor) and a private beach.

The honeycomb-style grid is very rare in hotels, and here it was an amazing design element. This hotel is all about breathtaking grandeur.

Price

The hotel is pricy, but definitely worth it! Starting at $1,600, but some of the fanciest suites go for over $10,000 a night.
